Deering Library Remodeling

University Library

This landmark library, situated close to Lake Michigan, was built in 1933 and modeled after King’s College in Cambridge, England.  It houses extensive collections in Art, Music, Government; Geographic Information and University Archives.

Naturally, this calls for the highest level of fire alarm and suppression systems.  As well as adding luster, these doors provide access to the highly sophisticated building monitoring system control center.  Frank H. Stowell & Sons has had the pleasure of working with the library in various capacities (functional and aesthetic) to keep it safe and impressive for years to come.
